Describe your personal style in one line.
Sexy Sporty. I like to keep things fuss free.
What’s the best thing about being a fashion designer?
One is that you are never out of clothes. But beyond that it’s amazing that you can communicate a part of who you are through clothing. A simple white shirt, the way it’s worn, can say different things on different people.
Where do you derive your fashion inspiration from?
Jack London sums it up perfectly when he says, “You can’t wait for inspiration. You have to go after it with a club”.
Do you ever feel like you have nothing to wear?
Not really. I have an unhealthy obsession with black and white which keeps my wardrobe full of staples.
Can you give us some smart shopping advice?
Always invest in key separates that can be worn with just about anything every day without looking old in 3 washes. Buy a well fitted pair of jeans and a black leather jacket and you’ll be able to get away with murder.
What do you think are the hottest trends of the season?
Clearly the off shoulder tops and the patchworked denims. But I’m a major fan of how kurtas and sneakers are being worn together. It just looks effortlessly cool.
If you could eradicate one fashion monster, what would it be?
Neoprene gowns.
